| Jewelweed is great. Something that is even more common is plantain. It can be crushed between rocks or teeth and applied to rashes and other skin problems. |

| My grandfather taught me to use plantain for bee stings. It always works. I also use it for poison ivy when outside. It takes the itch out for about a half hour then you need to repeat. Just roll a leaf in your hands until it is juicy and rub it on an itch or bee sting. It gets rid of the itch or sting and keeps the area from swelling. |
